CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW

First the back is worked with short rows to shape the shoulders and then worked to the bottom of the armholes. The back is then placed on hold and stitches are picked up along each shoulder for the front left and right. Increases are worked on the neckline to form the V-neck. After working the front to the bottom of the armholes, the front left, back, and front right are joined to form the body. The hem of the body is then finished with a lateral braid and a folded hem. Then, the button bands and collar are worked in double knitting. The sleeves are then picked up and worked flat with short rows to form the sleeve cap. The sleeves are then finished with a lateral braid and folded hem. Optional waist shaping is also included for the body.
