CONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW

The sweater is worked seamlessly top down using a modified drop shoulder construction. You will first work the back with short rows to shape the shoulders, then work the back flat to the bottom of the armholes. The front right and left are first worked separately and then joined to form the front. After working the front to the bottom of the armholes, the body is joined in the round and worked to desired length. Then, the collar is picked up and worked in half-twisted rib to twice its length to make a folded collar. Finally, the sleeves are worked top down in the round with decreases for a slightly tapered fit.

This pattern is only charted, there are no written instructions for the charts.

The Maisie sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 8-10 in [20-25 cm] of positive  ease, meaning the circumference of the sweater is approximately 8-10 in [20-25 cm] larger than your bust.

The grey sweater was knit to suggested length, the navy sweater was worked with an extra chart repeat on the body (approx. 3.75 in [9.5 cm] longer).

The grey sample was knit using one strand of BC Garn Bio Shetland held together with one strand of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair. The navy sample was knit with one strand of De Rerum Natura Ulysse.
